Etterbeek is where Rezidentz grew up — or at least, where we opened our second building, on La Chasse, years ago. We've always loved the neighbourhood: it's calm without being sleepy, conveniently connected to the EU Quarter, and home to a great mix of residents. So when we found another building nearby that needed rescuing, we didn't hesitate.
A full year of renovation
Rue Général Fivé 27 sat empty and tired. We spent a year restoring it properly — not just repainting, but rewiring, insulating, replumbing, and installing solar panels on the roof. The result is a building that works as it should, with running costs that make sense for 2025.
What Fivé looks like
The aesthetic is a departure from our earlier properties: bolder, with a signature yellow that runs through the common areas and into some of the apartments themselves. Spacious layouts, high ceilings, and large windows make the most of Brussels' grey-sky light. Several apartments have balconies overlooking the street — rare at this price point.

Our architect Zazie Maquet has designed every Rezidentz space since the beginning. At Fivé, she pushed the brief further: custom-made furniture pieces designed specifically for the layout of each apartment, kitchen and bathroom equipment selected for durability as well as aesthetics, and decorative elements that spark genuine delight rather than generic 'rental beige'.
