What is included in the rent at Berceau?
Everything except your groceries. The monthly price covers water, electricity, gas, high-speed Wi-Fi, insurance, local taxes, smart TV, a weekly cleaning of your studio, access to the shared laundry, and the maintenance team. There are no separate charges and no year-end settlement.
What is the minimum rental period?
Three months. Berceau is designed for medium-term stays, so contracts run from three months upwards and can be extended. There is no maximum.
Can I register my address at Berceau?
Yes. Domiciliation is possible at Berceau, which means you can register with the commune of Brussels and obtain official residency in Belgium at this address. We provide the documents the commune asks for.
How far is Berceau from the European institutions?
About ten minutes on foot to Schuman and the European Commission. Maelbeek, on metro lines 1 and 5, is a six-minute walk, and Madou, on lines 2 and 6, is seven.
How big are the studios, and what bed do they have?
All eight are between 20 and 21 m², so the difference between them is the bed rather than the floor space — and it does not depend on the floor. Half the studios are set up for one person with a single bed, the other half have a full double, and every floor has one of each. The exact bed size is listed on each studio's own page, so you can pick the one you want.
Are the studios furnished?
Fully. Each studio comes with a bed, an equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer, a bathroom, a working desk, a smart TV, and everything needed to cook and sleep from the first night. You arrive with a suitcase.
Is there a deposit, and how does it work?
Yes, a standard rental deposit is requested at booking together with the first month, and it is returned at the end of the stay after the inventory. The amount is confirmed on the booking documents for your studio.
